Hello! There is so much to tell. First, thank you for visiting our humble little farm, where there is literal blood sweat and tears from both my husband and I. I pray daily that God blesses our stock which I am very grateful for.
As a child I loved horses but knew nothing about them. My father would not allow me to take lessons, it was a waste of money. At 18 I married a wonderful man who indulged me, buying me two Clydesdales despite the fact we lived in an apartment. Who needs food right?

I had no idea how to ride, just that I wanted to. I worked at a miniature horse farm where I learned ground work, while riding my Clydesdale bareback.

Abe my favorite Clydesdale gelding.

I became friends with Clydesdale breeder who I helped find a better stud who is just amazing.  I fell in love with him, the foals and everything about breeding. Eventually I traded a website for a Gray 2 year old QuarterxClyde mix. Gandalf the Gray was a great horse who I learned so much breaking him out but I missed the pure draft personality.

Eventually my mother purchased a Black Shire and Drum mare, yes due to my influence. The drum mare needed work, more then my mom had bargained for, so I traded Gandalf with my mother bringing home my first Drum Horse, Saphira out of King Rocky Bloodlines.

The day I brought Saphira home I cried. We had just bought land with no fencing or a barn. My husband and I built it all ourselves while I was pregnant with our third child.

In two years we went from 1 horse to 5, 2 goats, 2 bunnies, adding to our family of 3 children, 2 cats, and a dalmatian. It was stressful...being new to so much responsibility.

I have loved the Drum Breed since I first saw Galaway Warrior. When most girls had cute boys on their locker I had a picture of a Drum Horse

WHY BREED
I want to live passionately even if it works me to death. I want to leave my children a legacy of helping add to the Drum Horse breed's start. I want to watch my foals prosper and my children show my furry babies.

IF you made it through this... you deserve a blue ribbon or maybe a new Drum!
